wmu-225x225Our WMU Objectives Are:

Pray for Missions
Engage in mission action and witnessing
Learn about and support missions
Develop spiritually toward a missions lifestyle
Participate in the work of the church and denomination

Our theme for the year 2016-2017 is ABy All Means@ and our watchword is I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel that I might share in its blessings. (I Corinthians 9:22b-23)  Every year there are many ministry opportunities for the Women on Mission to network together for outreach ministry.

A tangible way to meet the physical needs of those in your community is through health kits. Last year we collected 750 kits. As part of our Cleveland mission trip we gave out 400 Health Kits. Two hundred went immediately to the homeless within the city. The other half went to new church plants. This year we would like to collect 1500 Health Kits to be used in many different ministry capacities.

The health kits should be placed in a 2-gallon zip lock type bag and include the following items:

1 toothbrush
1 toothpaste  (6 oz. or larger)
1 soap  (4-6 oz.)
1 washcloth
1 bath towel
I comb

Please go by the list.  These health kits are due at the association office on May 1, 2018.

Another important date is May 13, 2018, which is Mother’s Day.  Please order your envelopes for the Special Mother’s Day Offering.  This helps support the Ministries on Aging (The Bethea Home and Martha Franks Home).
