Our WMU Objectives Are:

Our theme for the year 2016-2017 is ABy All Means@ and our watchword is I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel that I might share in its blessings. (I Corinthians 9:22b-23) Every year there are many ministry opportunities for the Women on Mission to network together for outreach ministry.
Christmas Backpacks For Appalachia – The backpacks are due at the association office by the 2nd and will be taken to the SC Baptist Convention on November 7.
Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer
Hosted by Concord Baptist Chruch, November 6, 2017. Program begins at 7 pm with registration beginning at 6:30 pm

- One writing tablet no larger than 5 x8 (no wire bound or composition books)
- One adult toothbrush (individually factory-sealed, no multi-packs)
- Five first-class #10 Stamp-Embossed Envelopes (from US Post Office – no regular stamps)
- Two rolls of candy like LifeSavers, Mentos, Breath Savers (NO Smarties, Sweetarts, Necco Wafers, Rolos, Starburst, TicTacs)
- One 3.2oz. – 6oz. bar of soap (no travel size, no unwrapped/unboxed bars)
- One 4 oz. – 6 oz. toothpaste (no travel size)
- ONE gallon size zipper bag (no other size bags accepted)Please DO NOT INCLUDE: washcloths, toothbrush holders, floss, soap dishes, combs
Deadline to turn in to Santee Baptist Association: November 28th between 1 & 4 PM. All items must fit in the zipper bag with zipper bag with zipper closed securely.

Week of Prayer for State Missions – September 10 – 17, 2017. Please encourage your churches to give to the Janie Chapman Offering
Fall Training – September 14, 2017 at the Associational Office from 7 – 8:30 pm. Registration will begin at 6:30. Refreshments will be served upon arrival. Please advertise in your bulletins and announce in your church and meetings. It will be for all WMU organizations.
Shaw Appreciation Picnic – September 28, 2017. Churches are asked to bake cookies for dessert and place in individual serving bags and bring to the Sumter Chamber of Commerce between 9 am and 12 pm.
Annual Carnival Workers Luncheon – September 28, 2017.
The month of July we will be collecting Duffel Bags and Bible for Foster Children. There will be more information in the Mission Links Newsletter from the State WMU office in Columbia.
Senior Adult Spring Rally. Our next Senior Adult Rally will be Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Northside Baptist Church beginning at 12:00 P.M. The cost of the meal will be $5.00 per person. We will enjoy a time of fellowship following the meal. Call the Associational Office, (803) 775-6524 no later than Thursday, May 4, so we can adequately prepare. We look forward to seeing you!
Special Mother’s Day Offering. Another important date is May 14, 2017 which is Mother’s Day. Please order your envelopes for the Special Mother’s Day Offering. This helps support the Ministries on Aging (The Bethea Home and Martha Franks Home).

WMU Spring Meeting. Mark your calendar for April 20, 2017 and make plans to attend the Santee Association WMU Spring Meeting at Providence Baptist Church. Registration starts at 6:30 PM and program begins at 7:00 PM.
An Age Level Leadership Retreat will be held at Camp LaVida on April 2l-22,2017.

Health Kits. A tangible way to meet the physical needs of those in your community is through health kits. These health kits are due at the association office on April 24.The health kits should be placed in a two gallon zip lock type bag and include the following items:
- 1 toothbrush
- 1 toothpaste (6 oz. or larger)
- 1 soap (4*6 oz.)
- 1 washcloth
- 1 bath towel
- I comb

Season of Prayer. The Season of Prayer for North American Missions is March 5-12,2017. The theme this year is Together for the Kingdom. We encourage you to support the mission study and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.
SC Missions Encounter and Annual Meeting. We would like to have a good representation from Santee Association at our South Carolina WMU Annual meeting at FBC in Boiling Springs SC on March 24-25, 2017. Start making your reservations now. Hope to see YOU there!
